A high level block diagram of wireless communication system based on SS1101 chip is shown below. Note that Rx, TX and T/R swich are enclosed usually in an RF module. Most of the application requires external micro-controller for SS1101 control and RF module control. With an external voice Codec, the system can handle voice communication.
A high level block diagram of wireless communication sytem based on SS1102 chip is shown below. The external ROM chip may be of any kind, commonly Flash memory. SS1102 is a right choice for software code development and for small volume production.
Once the software code is finalized, this code may be implemented on the internal mask ROM of SS1119. This eliminates the need of an external ROM and reduces the production cost of the system. A high level block digram of wireless communication system based on SS1119 is shown below.
